Everything works perfectly, except that I cannot resume from sleep by pressing power on the media center remote the remote can put the computer into S3 sleep just fine though.
Also, their prices are easy on the pocket too. The problem was fixed by upgrading the AHPI driver to 5. The labels on the settings correspond to the header name on the motherboard. You need to be mindful of their individual settings to make sure that your computer is not going into hibernation before it could go to sleep.
If that is the case, you need to press the power button to wake it up. Did you try that? Go through everything to make sure that's not preventing Windows 10 from waking up from sleep mode. I do a hard reset and the hibernation file is read back in on boot - so no data loss, but still an issue. I wasn't sure how to use that and so just enabled it. Will that help to support the power profiles under Windows 7 on the CHV? Update - so when I came back in this afternoon.. I hit the power button once to test if it would wake and it didn't respond. A hard reset brought it back online from where it went to sleep.
So, C1E not the issue. Going for a full PME enable. I have now tried enabling EPU and matching the windows power scheme to the EPU scheme and when it says it is supposed to sleep now it just stays awake. The monitor turns off when it is supposed to.. This is odd. What I would do is post up the following: 1 A full parts and configuration list. Also include keyboard and mouse make and model together with information of what USB ports you are using.
Also of note is whether to not you are using any kind of USB hub even if it is one built into your monitor. Before you take the time to provide me with that list, return the system to complete stock if you are overclocking it. If that does not work then something deeper is amiss. If it does work ignore the screenshot part of point 2 below. You may set resume from USB etc if need be. C1E has no direct correlation to S3 resume but may have an impact on things if the system is unstable in any way.
Successful resume needs a system that is completely stable. The fact that your system does not respond to the power button being pressed is what irks me at this point but I need clarification on all of the above. Not a common issue this, I have used S3 resume on this board from USB devices and the power button without issue so it sounds like the system is unstable when entering sleep and fails to respond as a result.
